Terms of Service
Last updated: December 8, 2024
Acceptance of Terms
By using Outdo, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. It's that simple.
What Outdo Is
Outdo is a text-based productivity tool that runs in your browser. It provides:
- Local-first task and note management
- Optional encrypted cloud sync via your Google Drive
- Progress tracking features (points, milestones)
- End-to-end encryption for sensitive data
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Your password: If you lose it, we cannot recover your encrypted data
- Your backups: While we provide sync, you should maintain your own backups
- Legal use: Don't use Outdo for illegal activities
- Your content: You own everything you create
Our Responsibilities
We commit to:
- Maintaining the service to the best of our ability
- Never accessing or selling your data (we can't — it's encrypted)
- Being transparent about any changes to these terms
- Keeping the core product free
Disclaimer
Outdo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime or that it will meet all your needs. For critical data, always maintain independent backups.
Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of Outdo, including but not limited to data loss, lost profits, or any indirect damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (which is $0 for the free tier).
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Significant changes will be announced on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Termination
You can stop using Outdo at any time. Your local data remains yours. We reserve the right to terminate access for users who violate these terms.
