Privacy Policy

Overview

Outdo is designed with privacy as a core principle. We use a zero-knowledge architecture — your data is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves, and we cannot read it. This policy explains what minimal data we do collect and why.

Your Data

We do NOT store your data. All your notes, tasks, and sensitive information are:

  • Stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB/LocalStorage)
  • Optionally synced to YOUR Google Drive (not ours)
  • Encrypted with AES-256 before leaving your device
  • Decrypted only on your device with your password

We have zero access to your content. Even if compelled by law, we cannot provide what we don't have.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics on this landing page to understand how visitors find and use our website. This helps us:

  • Improve SEO and discoverability
  • Understand which features interest users most
  • Optimize user experience and page performance
  • Make informed decisions about product development

Google Analytics collects anonymized data such as page views, traffic sources, device types, and general geographic regions. It does NOT have access to any of your Outdo content or personal data.

Important: The Outdo editor application (app.outdo.pro) does NOT include any analytics or tracking. Your productivity data remains completely private.

Google Drive Integration

If you choose to connect Google Drive for cloud sync:

  • We use OAuth 2.0 — we never see your Google password
  • We only request access to files created by Outdo
  • Your encrypted data is stored in YOUR Drive, not ours
  • You can revoke access anytime via Google Account settings

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • Cloudflare (`__cf_bm`, `cf_clearance`) — Security cookies for DDoS protection and bot detection. Strictly necessary, no consent required.
  • Google Analytics (`_ga`, `_ga_*`) — Analytics cookies, only set if you accept in the cookie banner.
  • Consent preference (`outdo_cookie_consent`) — Stores your cookie choice in localStorage.

The Outdo editor (app.outdo.pro) uses only essential cookies for authentication state if you connect Google Drive.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Use Outdo without any account or data collection
  • Export all your data at any time (it's just text)
  • Delete your local data by clearing browser storage
  • Opt out of Google Analytics using browser extensions
